Upland Experimental Painting on Charred Wood

Please note! It may shed some flakes during delivery. However, I will ship it the best I can do to help prevent that. Fragile- so don’t touch the front of the painting itself. If a piece flakes off, it can be glued back.

This was an experimental original painting. The concept was to paint an upland scene on a severely charred piece of wood. Making the connection between habitat management through prescribed burns and the good times it helps us have hunting quail. 

Acrylic on burnt wood. The burnt part has 5 coats of a clear satin enamel. 

It measures 11"x14".
